The jetboat ride starts at the Jet-Port in Bönigen, which is easily accessible by car or local bus, and takes you on a 50-minute boat ride in the summer half-year, and a 20-minute ride in the winter half-year, to Brienz, at the eastern end of Lake Brienz. Use of the local bus is included in the ticket price. On the way you will experience many attractive boat maneuvers: sharp turns, 360° turns, hops over the bow wave and maximum accelerations. These maneuvers will make your heart beat faster and guarantee a splash or two. Before setting off, you can decide for yourself whether you want to ward off the water splashes without protection or with a waterproof coat. However, wearing a life jacket is mandatory for all participants.

During the trip, you can always take spectacular photos. However, it is worth taking out your cell phone only when it is explicitly mentioned by the captain. After all, Lake Brienz is up to 260 m deep.

A visit to the Giessbach Falls is an absolute highlight of the jetboat ride and offers a breathtaking natural spectacle. The falls plunge spectacularly over a height of about 500 meters and are among the highest waterfalls in the country. The jetboat ride takes you so close to the waterfall that you can pleasantly feel the spray.

The special thing about Giessbach Falls is not only their impressive size, but also their idyllic location. They are surrounded by dense forests and majestic mountains, which creates a breathtaking scenery.
